Finance Commentator & Journalist

Michael was one of the first to specialise in financial journalism in commercial broadcasting. He is well known to Australians as the Finance Editor of The Nine Network with at least weekly appearances over 18 years. He has the ability to interpret complex finance issues or world events and explain them to broadcast and live audiences. He has a tremendous grasp of world financial markets and their impact on our economy. He provides thought provoking opinions and tests the theories of our politicians and economists. He is a fabulous Emcee and after dinner speaker.

Michael Pascoe is one of Australia's most respected and experienced finance and economics commentators with more than three decades in newspaper, radio, television and on-line journalism

Perhaps best known for this 18 years as the Nine Network’s Finance Editor, Michael now is Associate Editor of Alan Kohler’s EurekaReport.com.au, contributes to Crikey.com.au and Channel 7’s news programs and is a regular conference speaker, MC and facilitator.

Michael was born and educated in Queensland and started his career with The Courier-Mail before working in Hong Kong for three years. He joined the Australian Financial Review in Sydney upon returning to Australia and then virtually invented specialist finance journalism in commercial broadcasting - first with the Macquarie Radio network, then with Channel 9, Sky Business Report and Channel 7.
