Motorsport Champion
Marcos left Australia in 1996 for England to chase his dream of winning the Formula 1 and quickly compiled an impressive list of wins. He out-qualified super car greats Jenson Button and Kimi Raikonnen and took pole position in the ’99 European Formula Ford Championship. Returning to Australia in 2001 Ford scooped him up for the V8 Supercar race and was well rewarded for their decision when Marcos took out the Australian Grand Prix. In 2006 he moved to race on the US circuit and is continuing his success.

| Duncan Armstrong |
Champion Swimmer and Media Personality
Elite swimmer Duncan Armstrong caused more than a ripple when his performance at the 1988 Seoul Olympics broke the then 200m freestyle world record and brought home the Gold. Duncan scooped up additional Gold and Silver medals in his career, prestigious honours including Young Australian of the Year, and an Order of Australia Medal. Like many sports people, Duncan successfully transitioned from the pool to media. His ease in the spotlight paved the way for several television and radio roles which he continues today along with developing corporate and community programs. |

Time and time again we see the fruits of passion in human achievements, and Jason Bargwanna is no exception. With his young eye firmly on racing cars, Jason realised his dream and hasn’t stopped. His first major racing success came in 1992 winning Class C at Bathurst. 1997 saw him runner-up in the in the Formula Holden Championship and in the same year he moved into V8 Supercars. Now racing with Ford, Jason continues to replay his child-hood dream Culminating in his win at Bathurst.

| Wayne Bennett |
Rugby Leagues's Super Coach
Wayne Bennett was Coach of the Brisbane Broncos for 21 years from 1988 until 2008. In 2009 he was appointed Coach of St George Illawarra in 2010 he took the team to its first NRL victory in 31 years. Wayne Bennett is recognised in Rugby League circles as one of the most influential and innovative of modern day coaches. He is the longest serving coach of a single club, has one of the best winning percentages, and ranks second in the number of premierships won as a coach at an elite level. A former state and international player, Wayne began coaching in 1976 at club level, and in 1986 became Queensland Director of Coaching. In 1987 he became a full-time coach with the Canberra Raiders. In his first season with the Raiders, Wayne coached them to their first-ever Grand Final and was named Coach of the Year. In 1988 Wayne joined the Brisbane Broncos as their inaugural coach. He guided the club to five premierships; two World Club Challenge titles; and three pre-season titles. |

| David Boon |
Cricketing legend
One of the most enduring cricketer’s in Australia’s sporting history, the legend affectionately known as ‘Boonie’, led an illustrious career at the pinnacle of the sport. His achievements were outstanding as they were numerous; dominating as Australia’s best batsman, instrumental in bringing the side to its first World Cup victory and served his country in a total of 107 Tests and 188 One Day Internationals. Since his retirement David maintains his association with the sport through roles in marketing and selection. |

Olympic Skating Gold
The events leading to Steven’s rise to fame in men’s speed skating took place all in a matter of moments, leading to victory and a gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. It would be Australia’s first gold at a Winter Olympics. Steven’s inspiring story has conceived the phrase “He’s done a Bradbury” and given it a home in the Australian vernacular. The self confessed sports nut has interviewed some of Australia’s and indeed the world’s most outstanding sportsmen and women including Socceroos stars Harry Kewell, Lucas Neill and Mark Schwarzer, and Shane Warne and Ian Thorpe. |

Geelong’s Highest Ranked Goal Kicker
For over ten years Billy Brownless kept Geelong fans cheering as a full forward for his AFL team. Before his retirement from the game in 1997 Billy etched himself into the team’s history by ranking third on Geelong’s goal-kicking list behind Gary Ablett and Doug Wade. Since his retirement from the field Brownless has continued to inject his lively energy into the club through marketing initiatives, and built an active media career with Channel 9 on the broadcaster’s The Footy Show and Sunday Footy Show. |

Wallaby legend
Lovingly known as 'Campo' and considered one of the greatest wingers in the game of rugby union, David Campese is a true entertainer on and off the field. A first class achiever David was capped by the Wallabies 101 times, and holds the world record for the most tries, numbering 64. Known also for the 'goose step' David’s game was fast and elusive. His nickname 'Too Easy (Campese)' has found a permanent home in the Australian vernacular. |

International Tennis Champion
Evonne is one of Australia’s pre-eminent sporting legends. She dominated the tennis circuit during the 1970’s, winning Wimbeldon, the French Open and the British Hard Court Championships in the same year. In 1972 she was awarded an MBE, and the Order of Australia ten years later, following up with induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Today, Evonne actively facilitates Aboriginal access to sport through her Evonne Goolagong Cawley Trust, and works to increase female participation in tennis. |

Dr.Richard Charlesworth is one of the best known hockey players and coaches in Australian hockey history and a much sought after consultant, speaker and writer on sport and performance. He has shared his innovative coaching techniques with audiences worldwide. In 2009 Ric was appointed coach of the Australian mens’ national hockey team the Kookaburras. The team went on to win the 2010 Hockey World Cup in New Delhi, India. He has been a mentor to five national team coaches with the Australian Institute of Sports, and a High Performance Consultant with the Fremantle Dockers Football Club.Ric is a Doctor of Medicine and a former captain of the Australian Hockey Team, the State Hockey Team and State Cricket Team. He has been a mentor coach to several national team coaches with the Australian Institute of Sport and a performance consultant with the Fremantle Football Club. |

Jacqui Cooper is the greatest Aerial skier of all time, a leader in her sport and a woman that has competed in a record 5 Winter Olympics. She has represented her country for 20 years, winning a total of 5 world titles and 24 world cup wins. She has had to overcome so much adversity in her quest for success. Jacqui competed in the Vancouver Winter Olympics (February 2010) after a year of intense hip and knee rehabilitation; she shocked doctors and surgeons by her will, inner strength and courage to make a brave attempt to be competitive at those games. |

World trap rifle shooting champion
Triple gold medallist Mike Diamond became the first Australian to take out an Olympic trap shooting event since 1900, duplicating that feat at the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games, and again at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. His remarkable talent saw him reign as world champion for three years running. With an outstanding career of achievement behind him, Mike has established himself amongst the world’s greatest marksmen. |
