The world was glued to their television screens on July 16, 1969 as Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong took the first human steps on the moon. Since retiring from NASA, the Air Force, and his position as Commander of the Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, Dr. Aldrin continues a leading role for America in manned space exploration. His commitment to space science and tourism saw the founding of his rocket design company, Starcraft Boosters, Inc., and the non-profit ShareSpace Foundation.

| Wayne Bennett |
Rugby Leagues's Super Coach
Wayne Bennett was Coach of the Brisbane Broncos for 21 years from 1988 until 2008. In 2009 he was appointed Coach of St George Illawarra in 2010 he took the team to its first NRL victory in 31 years. Wayne Bennett is recognised in Rugby League circles as one of the most influential and innovative of modern day coaches. He is the longest serving coach of a single club, has one of the best winning percentages, and ranks second in the number of premierships won as a coach at an elite level. A former state and international player, Wayne began coaching in 1976 at club level, and in 1986 became Queensland Director of Coaching. In 1987 he became a full-time coach with the Canberra Raiders. In his first season with the Raiders, Wayne coached them to their first-ever Grand Final and was named Coach of the Year. In 1988 Wayne joined the Brisbane Broncos as their inaugural coach. He guided the club to five premierships; two World Club Challenge titles; and three pre-season titles. |

International Tennis Champion
Evonne is one of Australia’s pre-eminent sporting legends. She dominated the tennis circuit during the 1970’s, winning Wimbeldon, the French Open and the British Hard Court Championships in the same year. In 1972 she was awarded an MBE, and the Order of Australia ten years later, following up with induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Today, Evonne actively facilitates Aboriginal access to sport through her Evonne Goolagong Cawley Trust, and works to increase female participation in tennis. |

Jacqui Cooper is the greatest Aerial skier of all time, a leader in her sport and a woman that has competed in a record 5 Winter Olympics. She has represented her country for 20 years, winning a total of 5 world titles and 24 world cup wins. She has had to overcome so much adversity in her quest for success. Jacqui competed in the Vancouver Winter Olympics (February 2010) after a year of intense hip and knee rehabilitation; she shocked doctors and surgeons by her will, inner strength and courage to make a brave attempt to be competitive at those games. |

Li Cunxin (pron “Lee Schwin Sing”) is a remarkable man borne of a remarkable story. He has published an incredible book about his extraordinary life. Later it was made into a box office hit film. In ‘Mao' s Last Dancer’, Li recounts his determination, perseverance, vision, courage and hard work, and in particular, the sacred family values and integrity that he learned in poverty-stricken China that have driven him to become one of the best dancers in the world. Li was born into utter poverty in Mao’s communist China, at the age of 11 he was selected to train in Madame Mao's Beijing Dance Academy. When he was 18, Li was awarded one of the first cultural scholarships to go to America, and subsequently been offered a soloist contract with the Houston Ballet. Two years later, Li defected to the West in a dramatic media storm, which involved the then Vice President, Mr George Bush Snr.

Regarded as one the finest leaders of ALF team St Kilda, Danny Frawley led a stellar career taking in 240 games spanning nine years, and included a captaincy that is still, today, unmatched in longevity. Described as a tough and uncompromising full-back, in 1991 Danny led the Saints into the finals for the first time in eighteen years. Since those celebrated days, Danny went on to coach Collingwood and later Richmond. Today, Danny’s success continues in the corporate and media sectors. He lectures for Linfox on leadership and motivation, and appears regularly on radio and television. |
