Creativity & Leadership

Kieran Flanagan has lead multi-national accounts across multi-disciplinary departments and businesses working at McCann, Smart, Kindred and VCD (a team she helped found and build into the agency of the year in her first three years in the industry).

At just 20 years old, Kieran was also one of the youngest Creative Directors to lead an award-winning advertising agency.

In that time, Kieran also directed the Strategic and Creative team behind the most successful new product launch in Australian history, won awards around the world for creativity and effectiveness, spent three years running Australia’s premier creative school, AWARD, and co-authored “Shift” with her business partner Dan Gregory.

She is currently the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at research, training and innovation think tank, The Impossible Institute, teaches and lectures at The Miami Ad School and has spoken to audiences as diverse as the UN in Singapore (as part of a group working to end human trafficking), sales teams for Coca Cola, leadership forums and education summits. All while producing work for markets as far flung as the United States, Russia, Asia, Europe and as a partner to TEDx Sydney.

Kieran is a passionate advocate for the commercial power of creativity and a return to more human engagement, cultures and leadership.

The Impossible Institute

The Impossible Institute was founded by Kieran Flanagan and Dan Gregory to make what’s not… possible! It exists to create and facilitate organization and cultural change.

In a world that is increasingly defined by our ability to adapt, innovate and engage, we advise sales departments and management on what truly drives their customers and staff, build highly functioning teams with Collaborative Intelligence™, apply discipline to creativity, removing the randomness and luck from Innovation and Strategy, and advise the C-Suite and boards on how to lead with the power of a purposeful identity.

They use a “teach a man to fish” model, primarily because research shows that that’s what works. This process generates more effective and measurable results, increased internal capabilities are also more profitable, create greater internal buy in as well as external engagement and ultimately create a more valuable and enthusiastic workforce for clients and their customers.

Kieran is much more than a keynote speaker. With a twenty year history in helping organizations be more strategic, creative and engaged, she also facilitates, trains and mentors through:

Half day and full day workshops including:

  • Facilitating strategic planning sessions at a board and senior management level
  • Moderating and participating in expert panel discussions and interviews
  • Coaching and Mentoring Marketing & Innovation Directors, Culture Managers and Leaders
